Wow, I thought I had posted through the first half of May, not April. I’m always so far behind. Most of my sewing was done at the beginning of the month this month, work has been busy the second half of may plus just end of school year…
Here are May makes from the last post until now.
This is my latest bag. I finished it in April, and forgot to take a picture of it for a couple of weeks. I love how big it is, and how many pockets it has just in its design. It is my first bag that was not bound.
Brandon wearing his rooster shirt.
Three more shirts I made Brandon (he has lost a lot of weight and dropped sizes, so he needed some new shirts. His favorite is the rooster one in this stack. Hence the picture of him wearing it.
I made theses matching dresses for Lily and I for Mother’s Day. I love the pattern and feel of the fabric. It is Bamboo. I was going to make the same pattern but the double cross over made it past my confidence to modify to a lily size (modify to not have a bust but fit more straight.). I ended up buying a similar pattern for her in an actual kids size to save myself from messing up my nice fabric, and get it done by Mother’s Day.
This is the first shirt I made Brandon after he lost weight. He also loves t his one because he has the nickname bear. Not sure why when I upload photos here they come out in a random order. I add them in a group but select them in order taken which is chronological and they come out all weird.
I like this pattern and have made 2 shirts from it both of which I have managed to spill bleach on. This time I used a different type of fabric. This is bamboo Lycra so super comfy. I love this style to throw on over leggings after work because it is a bit longer and has a fun drone.
Here is a shirt I made for me with the left over fabric from my mom’s shirt. This cut was a remnant that had more than a yard which was nice since it let me get a shirt out of it. The back is plain purple though, but I don’t care. This one should be right next to my mom’s shirts, because I finished it just after those.
Here is a dress that I had in a box for ages. I started cutting it out, then. Didn’t have enough fabric to get the bottom piece cut because it was cut in a big spiral type shape. I finally got a solid that matched well enough to use for the skirt.
I made a couple of shirts for my mom - one for her birthday and one for Mother’s Day. She snapped some selfies for me.
Really happy about the selfies today since I accidentally erased the picture I took of this shirt. I love this fabric when I went and picked it up. Too bad there wasn’t enough for a shirt for me.
